There were many years spent together where I knew Luke from Perth, but not the Luke who was first in Malaysia.

These visits in late 2022 and early 2023 were the collective experience of meeting some important people for the first time and exploring a country that was very new to me but very much home for him. I Learnt that it's never too humid for a good teh tarik and that tea time is for eating goreng pisang, brought home in a plastic bag from a cart on the corner of a street, around a table with those you love most."
